This is a lovely journey in the 19th century written by a fascinating character. Since I'm researching horsedrawn travel, I loved it. Mark sweetly found a first édition copy for me as well so I could enjoy the illustrations.
Great fantasy
This is probably a good book. It's hard to tell. I haven't made any headway in the edition because the entire book is formatted "centered" - a sloppy HTML error that could have been corrected with about two keystrokes. I will look for a free copy on Archive.org and recommend others do the same. I'm sure this is worth reading, but it's not worth suffering through an incorrectly formatted copy.
